About
Who I am
I am a political artist, a Lesbian feminist activist and mother.
My visual work, writing and activism focuses on critiquing compulsory heterosexuality, institutionalised femininity and motherhood; as well as fighting for women-only-spaces.
I am a contributor to the feminist journal 'Rain and Thunder'. My work is featured in the 'Archives Recherche Culture Lesbiennes' in Paris.

-
In this place, women come first.
-
Art is a powerful political tool - I shall use it as such.
-
My work always focuses on women, women's oppression, women's liberation, women's rights, women's culture and women's perspective.
-
My work is a starting point for women's discussion, women's conciousness raising and ultimately women's liberation.
-
The personal is political. the starting point of my work is always my own experience as a woman and the personal experiences of women around me. i do not pretend to be objective, i represent women's subjectivity in a world where men's subjectivity is called "objectivity".

Women’s art is important because women’s stories are important and need to be shared and seen. Women’s art burst the myths and tell the truth about women’s lives and experiences.
